This week, Eilish has travelled to her new Northern River’s retreat space to move her tipi there and along the way meets with two local female Western Shamans who’ve journeyed deeply within the realms of indigenous traditional medicines to bring forth revelations and insights to move from the space of duality into enlightened unity consciousness.
So much of our media and worldly concerns are built on the foundations of duality: right versus wrong, toxic food versus organic, us versus them. It’s only when we can see where the reflection of the duality lies within us and change that can we change our outside world as the powerful co-creators of our reality that we are.
CCN‘s We Are The Ones We’ve Been Waiting For Hostess Eilish De Avalon, together with northern river’s shamanesses Maya Larissa and Dominique Wolf Amanzi discuss modern Western Shamanism, the traps of the New Age western movement, the impact of shamanic medicine tourism in South America upon the local indigenous tribes and the importance of preserving the medicine and the traditions associated with these sacred tools of awakening to who we really are.
It is not enough simply to pray. There are solutions to many of the problems we face; new mechanisms for dialogue need to be created, along with systems of education to inculcate moral values. These must be grounded in the perspective that we all belong to one human family and that together we can take action to address global challenges.
