STOP SOUTH AFRICAN GENOCIDE with Mel Ve & Karin Smith talk to Schalk van der Merwe | 27 June 2017 @ 7pm GMT / 8pm CET & S. Africa – After an amazing show last week, during which we got the chance to speak to both Leigh Oxley & Karin Smith, both amazing South African women who are doing their part to bring awareness to the world about what is happening in South Africa, we have decided to continue a regular broadcast of STOP SOUTH AFRICAN GENOCIDE, and we will be featuring different guests each week.
A big thank you to Karin Smith for taking up the role of co-producer, and organising the schedule behind the scenes. I am personally looking very much forward to interviewing all these amazing people, who are united in our struggle for South Africa.
This week’s guest is Schalk van der Merwe, a lawyer holding the degrees B Iuris and LLB, that worked for the South African National Prosecution Authority for many years. Schalk became involved in Labour Law and worked for an Employers’ organisation, and later founded my own labour and business consultancy. Schalk also presided over many hundreds of labour mediations, concilliations and arbitrations for the South African Commission for Concilliation Mediation and Arbitration. Since 2011, Schalk has only been consulting private clients and is involved in various business organisations. Schalk has always been a politically active person and have always been willing to take a stand when my country and my people were being prejudiced.
