Geerte Frenken talks to Melissa Barnett

Protective Mother Melissa Barnett lost custody of her daughter to her child-molesting ex and faces 5 years in prison for delivering yellow roses to her for her 15th birthday.

Domestic Violence survivor and Protective Mother Melissa Barnett states: “In 2005 my children disclosed sexual abuse by their father and I immediately divorced him. The child sexual abuse was reported by CPS and the evidence was submitted to the court, but my ex made false allegations of Parental Alienation Syndrome and he started demanding full custody. Within 6 months he got 50/50 custody. The Minor’s Counsel sided with my ex and within 4 years of vexatious litigation he was able to get full custody of my then 8-year old daughter by falsely accusing me of child abuse. I was put on supervised visitation.

Not only was I punished as a Protective Mother. As a teacher I was a mandated reporter doing my due diligence in reporting abuse under the rules of California law. However, the school put me on administrative leave and then let me out of my contract after my ex threatened to sue the school.

For 6 months I saw my daughter once a week for an hour and when that restriction was about to get lifted my ex suddenly claimed that the visitation was making our daughter suicidal. At that point all the contact was stopped by the court and I had no more money for an attorney to fight the situation. My daughter’s teacher reported child sexual abuse to CPS but nothing happened.

I have been on a no-contact order since 2010. In 2014 I started having contact with my daughter again and during one of those visits I discovered that she had gotten sick from eating a marijuana-laced candy bar from her father’s freezer. I took her to the hospital and when my ex found out about it he accused me of giving the candy-bar to her! Since then all contact got cut off again and he got a restraining order against me.

When I went to deliver yellow roses to my daughter for her 15th birthday I was arrested for violating that restraining order and I am now facing 5 years in prison as a result. The case is developing in court as we speak and I can use all the help I can get to stop this insanity!”

Melissa Barnett is one of the Directors of Mothers of Lost Children: a non-profit organization that aims to reunite children with their Safe Mothers through a political and social campaign. Mothers of Lost Children demonstrates at the White House every 6 months and lobbies for an overhaul of the Family Court and CPS system through Federal oversight and audits of Fathers’ Rights entitlement funding.

So what is a Protective Mother? A Protective Mother tries to protect her child or children from their abusive father by many means necessary, which is an uphill battle in today’s corrupt global Family Court system that thrives on paternal entitlement. Maternal Deprivation at the hands of abusive fathers has reached pandemic proportions! However, Protective Mothers worldwide are uniting to fight for the right to keep their children in what could be called a new Civil Rights movement.

Professional Fine Artist and College Professor Geerte Frenken is a Protective Mother fighting for her court-abducted daughter Jasmijn. She is the host of the CCN Live TV show HELL IS FOR CHILDREN about the global plight of Protective Mothers and their children that airs every Saturday at 3PM Eastern Time (21:00 Central European Time). Recordings of the shows are made available via youtube within a few days after each Live broadcast and are archived HERE as well.
