NEW ON CCN | GIANT STEPS with SARAH CHAPLIN | 8 JANUARY 2018 @ 7PM GMT – Sarah Chaplin is a writer and musician based in south west London. She was involved for many years in mainstream education as an academic and also as a practising architect bound up in the corporate, material world of property and place, but always maintained an interest in the metaphysical aspects of experience and how we are emotionally and spiritually connected. Her research as a university professor led her to look into Japanese tea huts and love hotels, virtual reality and cyberspace, identity and authenticity. After 20 years, dissatisfied with what the academic world had to offer, and prompted by a health scare, in 2012 she opted for a complete career change, began working from home, focused on writing children’s fiction and playing jazz, and started to do more inner work. Her quest to connect with her higher self and discover her soul’s purpose produced a more immediate practical need to make a whole series of changes to her daily life, and brought her into contact with many new people and practices that held more truth and resonance. She is now turning these insights into a new book, ‘A Year to a New You’. In the past five years Sarah has released two jazz albums and published the SeaBEAN Trilogy, a children’s adventure series. She currently runs the listings website and app ‘jazzlondonlive’ and is developing ways of combining her channelling skills with her interest in Tibetan singing bowls to create responsive one-to-one and group forms of singing and belief work designed to release emotional blockages. Whilst she has presented at conferences and on radio many times in the past, Giant Steps is her first foray into hosting a TV show.
